Based out of Somerset KY, our band People of the Earth is comprised of band members Dustin Fenison (Vocals/Guitars), Jorge Lopez Jr. (Drums), Anakin Phillips (Guitars), Josh Lopez (Keys, Vocals), Holly Halliwell (Vocals), and a whole lot of other friends and family that we’ve met along the way.
Our heartbeat and passion is expressing our devotion and praise to King Jesus and proclaiming His greatness. We believe the most powerful expression of worship comes from the gathering of believers singing and dancing together in celebration of the finished work of Jesus.
This deep belief fuels our commitment to the local church. It's not just where we come from; it's at the very heart of who we are. Our band members actively serve as leaders in our respective home churches, (in Somerset, Kentucky, Nashville, Tennessee, and Phoenix, Arizona) and this experience profoundly influences our approach to music and ministry. We've witnessed God's transformative work within our church community, and it's this sense of spiritual growth and renewal that fuels our songwriting, artistry, and our mission.
As a result, we consider it the greatest of privileges to partner each year with dozens of churches, conferences, camps, and christ-centered organizations to lift high the name of Jesus. Whether leading worship, speaking, teaching, or organizing workshops, we truly are blessed to have served at hundreds of events over the past decade.
We continue to write, record, and produce worship resources for the church as well. Since 2014 we have released multiple full length albums, EPs, and singles that have amassed more than 30 million global streams across all music platforms. We are exited to move into 2024 with new music and plans for even more resources to help equip church worship teams to become more effective and impactful spiritual leaders first and artists second.
